Fire at the Holiday Inn, Brighton

On 26th April at 23.20pm, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service received an emergency call regarding a fire at the Holiday Inn, Kings Road, Brighton.

Two fire engines and an aerial ladder platform from Preston Circus along with two fire engines from Hove were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Guests were evacuated and a further fire engine from Roedean and a fire engine from Shoreham were dispatched.

Crews used breathing apparatus and 1:7 foam to tackle the fire in the electrical intake room in the sub-basement. A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to disperse the smoke.
