Overnight round-up

Coach fire

Hove firefighters were called out to a coach fire along the A27 Westbound yesterday (28th May) at 9.36am.

Two fire engines attended the incident, made the area safe, and left the scene at 9.47am.

Rescue from locked car

Firefighters are urging drivers to be careful not to lock themselves, pets or children inside their car, especially in this hot weather.

Brighton firefighters were on hand to rescue a person trapped inside their car at Hollingbury Park Golf, Ditchling Road, Brighton, yesterday (28th May) at 10.11am.

The crew successfully freed the person.

Meanwhile, Hove firefighters came to the rescue of a toddler locked inside a car on the same day at 4.26pm in Blatchington Road. The crew managed to release the three-year-old without injury.

Toddler rescued from bathroom

Bexhill firefighters came to the rescue of an 18-month-old toddler stuck in the downstairs bathroom at a property in Terminus Road, Bexhill, yesterday (28th May) at 6.18pm. The hapless youngster was found trapped and had to be rescued by the crew.
