Fire Service called to Misty’s Cocktail Bar in Hove

Five fire engines were called out to a fire above Misty’s Cocktail Bar in Hove in the early hours of this morning (19th June).

The emergency call came in at 12.07am and three crews were sent to the incident in Church Road, Hove.

However, the incident was later escalated requiring another two crews to be sent to the scene.

The fire was located in a bathroom in a flat above the bar and the assistance of police was requested for both crowd and traffic control.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire with the use of two hose reel jets and the Aerial Ladder Platform.

The fire was out by 1.36am but crews remained at the scene until 6.54am checking for any hot spots and cutting away parts of the inside of the building, to ensure the fire had not spread

No-one was injured and everyone safely evacuated the building.
