Preston Circus community fire station invites local families to Open Day

Local families are invited to Preston Circus community fire station’s Open Day on 25thAugust between 10.00am – 4.00pm for a free day of fun events.

There will be something for everyone, with a simulated car crash rescue, the aerial ladder platform, chip pan demonstrations, an inflatable football goal, the Black Museum, badge making and much more.

The Fire Bike will also be on display along with the Police Bike and staff will be giving information on road safety and advice on Bike Safe courses.

Firefighters will be on hand with valuable safety advice alongside partner agencies, Brighton & Hove City Council, Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service.

The event will also be attended by Councillor Bill Randall, The Mayor of the City of Brighton & Hove.

Station Manager, Tony Gurr, said: “We welcome everyone from our local community to come along and meet their local fire-fighters. It’s a good opportunity to see what they do every day, and how they work to reduce fires, road traffic collisions and other emergencies in our City”.

So, come rain or shine, why not spend the day with your local firefighters and have a spectacular day of fun!
