Deliberate fire in Peacehaven


Newhaven firefighters were sent to tackle a deliberate fire in Peacehaven yesterday (6th May) in the early hours of the morning.

Two fire engines were sent to a property in Telscombe Cliffs Way, Telscombe Cliffs, Peacehaven, at 12.50am and remained at the incident until 2.10am.

The fire originated in the ground floor area and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building. Two hose reel jets were used to tackle the flames and a positive pressure ventilation fan used to blow smoke from building. A fire investigation officer was called to the incident, along with Scenes of Serious Crime officers.

The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.
