999 Weekend

This year’s annual 999 Weekend is taking place on the 6th and 7th July at the Western Lawns on Eastbourne’s beautiful seafront.

The huge event is a firm favourite on the local calendar and visitors are given the opportunity to meet members of the emergency services, as well as an up-close look at 999 response vehicles. Visitors will be able to see the wide array of work that the emergency services undertake on a day-to-day basis.

Eastbourne’s Borough Commander, Dave Sheppard, of East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service said:

“'We really do appreciate the public supporting the work that we do and it’s good to be able to meet people who can talk with the responders and see some of the equipment we use to deal with real life emergencies when they occur. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a lovely weekend and look forward to seeing as many as possible over the two days of the show.”

A full timetable of scenarios and demonstrations run throughout the weekend can be viewed at www.999display.co.uk
