Animal rescue, Chailey

On 7thAugust at 5.48pm, crews from Crowborogh and Barcombe attended an incident at a property on Haywards Heath Road, North Chailey, where a horse was trapped in a stable.

On arrival, crews confirmed that the horse had straddled the lower part of the stable door. The animals’ rear legs were in the stable and the door was pressed against its abdomen.

Fortunately the horse was of a quiet temperament and crews were able to dismantle the stable door and remove the door enabling the animal to walk free. No injury was sustained by the horse.
