Fire investigation launched after fire in Nutley
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have launched a fire investigation following a fire in Nutley.
Crews left the scene on the High Street at 18.19 on 7 August 2013. They had been called out at 9.36am and, on arrival, found smoke coming from a two storey residential building.
Firefighters from Uckfield, Crowborough and Forest Row attended the incident, along with a Control Unit from Lewes and water bowser from Uckfield. Breathing apparatus, one hose reel and foam were all used at the scene.
Once all persons had been accounted for, ongoing risk assessments at the scene meant crews were withdrawing from the property when there was a loud bang.
As a result three firefighters received first aid for minor injuries and were taken to hospital for precautionary checks and were quickly released.
