Uckfield firefighters prepare for Children in Need Fun Day




Uckfield Community Fire station is opening its doors this Saturday (9th November 2013) to help raise money for Children in Need.

The event begins at 10am and goes on until 2pm at Bell Farm Road, Uckfield, TN22 1BA.

Lots of fantastic, exciting displays and demonstrations are planned throughout the day including balloon modelling, face painting, fire engine rides, reiki treatment, coconut shy, badge making and much more fun and games.

Children are invited to meet Fireman Sam and Welephant as well as trying out using a hose to put out a mock fire!

Refreshments will be available too and, for any budding football enthusiasts, there’s a penalty shoot out.

Please note that children aged 10 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Santa Run

And there’s another date for your diary if you are in Uckfield.

Firefighters are raising money for the Firefighters Charity with a Santa Run on Saturday 14thDecember at  Chailey Sports Ground.

The event is open to all abilities and there are two routes to choose from – one 3K and one 6K – with a medal for everyone who finishes!.

Festive fancy dress is desirable, the more extravagant the better, but not compulsory!  Prizes for best fancy dress will be awarded. Santa outfits are also available to buy with pre-registration or on the day or even make your own!
