A fire investigation is being carried out at the scene of a fire in St.Matthews Gardens this morning (31st January).
Crews remained at the incident throughout the night where they have been damping down and checking for any hotspots.
The incident is currently still on-going this morning.
By 15.44 the incident was under control and the Aerial Ladder Platform was used for observation and breathing apparatus crews were withdrawn from the incident and the property ventilated.
Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and tackled the fire with two main jets. They led a woman and two children to safety, who were then taken to the Conquest Hospital where they were treated for breathing in smoke.
