Fire Service urges public not to put themselves at risk watching storms

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is warning people not to go to watch, film or photograph floods or the sea, as they may end up endangering themselves or others.

Firefighters have been responding to calls reporting flooding and dangerous structures throughout today (Friday 3 January) as the weather takes its toll.

While it might be tempting to go and see what it going on, it is better to stay inside. Both Sussex Police and the RNLI have also warned of the dangers created by the storms.

More heavy rain and high winds are predicted for Saturday and Sunday. Get the latest information from the Met Office website.
