Kitchen fire in Woodingdean leaves woman needed oxygen treatment

Firefighters from Roedean and Newhaven were called out at 16.26 yesterday (16 January 2014) to reports of a kitchen fire.

They went to an address on Cowley Drive in Woodingdean.

Crews used four breathing apparatus and two hose reel, as well as a fan to disperse the smoke after the fire was put out.

One woman was given oxygen therapy after suffering from smoke inhalation.

The fire was accidental.
