Hastings residents invited to join in the fun



Hastings Community Fire Station is throwing open its doors to the public for a family event that promises something for everyone. 

The free open day will take place from 11am until 4pm on Saturday 2nd August at the Fire Station on Bohemia Road.

There will be a range of activities including: Chip pan and road safety demonstration, firefighter experience, seatbelt sledge. 

There will also be modern appliances on display and the Service's largest appliance - the Aerial Ladder Platform.

Crew Manager Tony Giles said: "This is a great way for the community to discover more about their local Fire Station. We would like as many people as possible to come along to the Open Day, have a great time and leave with some vital fire and road safety messages.” 

Firefighters will be joined on the day by other services & community groups including Road Safety Unit, Police, Ambulance, Red Cross, Firefighters Charity, Active Hastings.
