Normal service has resumed following FBU strike

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has resumed normal service after a two hour strike by members of the Fire Brigades Union.

The walkout took place between 5pm and 7pm as part of the ongoing dispute with Government over pensions.

Contingency crews were on duty and attended a small fire at a derelict barn in Sidley, Bexhill.
We used one hose reel and spent time damping down bales of hay.

Farmers can find out more about how to keep their properties safe here:

A further strike take place 6-8am tomorrow.
