Small number of calls so far during FBU strike

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has attended two incidents during today's Fire Brigades Union strike as of 13.00.

These are:
* smoke coming from a flat on Priory Road in Eastbourne - crews used breathing apparatus and a hose reel at the incident
* a fire in the open in Brighton

There have also been two automatic fire alarms which did not need our attendance.

The strike ends at 19.00 and members of the public are asked to remain vigilant during this time as cover is reduced.
