Fire in Hove treated as deliberate

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service has carried out an investigation and concluded a fire on Hove's seafront over the weekend was deliberate.

The Service was called at  17.42 on Saturday 20 December 2014 to reports of a fire on the first floor of a property on Sussex Road, near the King Alfred Public House.

Crews from Preston Circus and Hove attended, along with the Incident Command Unit from Lewes.

The aerial ladder platform from Preston Circus was also sent to the scene.

Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and three main jets to tackle the fire.
