Normal cover has resumed at East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service following industrial action by members of the Fire Brigades Union.
The strike commenced at 0700hrs on Wednesday 25th February and continued until 0700hrs on Thursday 26th February in the ongoing dispute with the Government over pensions.
During that time, contingency crews were on duty responding to emergencies.
Over the 24 hour period crews attended 15 low level incidents one of which was a minor chemical spillage in Brighton.
At 5.51pm crews were called to the Public Toilets, Café, The Level, Brighton, following reports of a small fire, which was out on arrival.
Meanwhile, at 5.56pm crews were called to a fire in a recycling bin in Regent Street, Brighton.
Shortly afterwards, at 6.53pm, crews attended another fire in a recycling bin in Providence Place, Brighton.
